The Selah School Board has selected two candidates to return for final interviews. Four candidates were interviewed May 5 and May 6. Two finalists were chosen, who then were interviewed May 12 and May 14.
Warren Hopkins, Deputy Superintendent with Arlington School District will be interviewed on Monday, May 12. Debra
Howard, Interim Superintendent with East Valley Spokane School District will be interviewed Wednesday, May 14.
Interested community members met the candidates at an open public forum Monday evening and will have the same opportunity Wednesday evening.
“Our community advisory participants are very impressed with our two final candidates and believe either one will be a great addition to the Selah School District,” said Board President Todd Trepanier.
The Board will make a decision by May 21, with an announcement planned on May 22 at the Best of the Best Employee Recognition Program. The new superintendent begins duties on July 1, 2008.
