Selah High School acknowledged the school’s highest academic achievers
last Tuesday at the 12th annual Selah High School awards’ dessert.
The top three students in each class, and in each academic subject area, received certificates and praise from their teachers.

Selah High School acknowledged the school’s highest academic achievers last Tuesday at the 12th annual Selah High School awards’ dessert.
The top three students in each class, and in each academic subject area, received certificates and praise from their teachers.
“We have taken the time to acknowledge your high level of effort,” said Principal Joe Jones, to the students.
Jones said the awards night is a focused time on the students, and the level of achievement they put forth.
“We also want the parents to understand how much we appreciate their support of the students,” he said.
Jones said that with the busy lives that students lead, maintaining academic focus is not an easy thing.
Jones encouraged the students to continue to give their best.
“Share your gifts with others and make your school a better place,” Jones said.
Awards were given in all disciplines: business, English, fine arts, foreign language, mathematics, health and fitness, science, social studies, and career and technical.
The principal’s award was given to AJ Lakey for earning three department awards.
