Yakima County Road Engineeer, Gary Ekstedt, said the Selah Loop road widening project contractor, Granite Northwest, is currently installing irrigation and drainage crossings across Selah Loop Road. 

After those are completed, probably this week or early next week, they will shift their attention to installing underground power, telephone and cable TV crossings, Ekstedt said.

“The affect on traffic will be the same as it has been,” he said.
Traffic delays have been minimal, even with the removal of seven large trees this past week, which caused delays of 20 minutes.
