Percy and Linda Bauguess celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at the Yakima Tennis Club Saturday, June 21. A reception followed, with attendance of nearly 90 friends and family members.  

Percy and Linda met through a mutual friend in 1958, and married five weeks later on June 20, 1958 in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. After the wedding Percy attended college in Ellensburg where he studied social science and Linda was a homemaker. They lived in the Marshall Islands for a brief time, and then settled in Selah.

Percy retired from the Selah School District in 1996, where he taught for 29 of his 35 teaching years. Linda has been with Avon for 31 years.  Both are currently Executive Unit Leaders with Avon Products.

They have four children, Renee (Larry) Fadden, Connie (Tony) Creach, Patrick (Alecia) Bauguess of Selah, and Micheal Bauguess of Everett.  They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  The Bauguesses have lived in the area for 44 years.
