The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association will move the Class 2A state basketball tournament to Yakima next year. Selah is a 2A school.
The Yakima SunDome will host three weeks of championship basketball with 1B, 1A and 2A high schools.
The 2A tournament had been at the SunDome from 1999 to 2006, but was then moved to Tacoma.
In 2009, Yakima will host the 1B tournament Feb. 25-28; 1A March 4-7; and 2A March 11-14.
