Clelan and Jan met in Prosser in the early 60s while she was standing on a curb as Clelan and his friends went by. One of his friends recognized one of the girls Jan was standing with and they pulled over to talk.
They married on June 16, 1963 at the Presbyterian Church in Prosser. They went to Yellowstone and traveled through Colorado visiting family for their honeymoon. They settled in Prosser until 1966 when they moved to Selah.
The Terrys ran the Sunrise Dairy until 2004 when they retired. Jan took care of the office work and Clelan made the deliveries. In 1998 the Terry’s children treated them to a trip to Maui to renew their vows––unbeknownst to Jan and Clelan. The year was significant because it was the year of their 35th anniversary and 25th year in business. They have three children, Drew (Jen), Tani (Mark) and Dana (Tad), six grandchildren: Brooke, Kylee, Kaylor, Kianna, Emma and Jack.
